NY Mets -- Life Coaching Discount
Explicit
October 01, 2007 11:48 AM PDT

Hello Folks,

Dick Sturgeon here.

In the spirit of serving the public interest, I am offering a discounted, introductory life coaching session to the 2007 New York Mets who may, at this particular moment, feel the need for a sympathetic ear.

As you may know, I operate a mobile practice. When I heard about yesterday's news, I zigzagged over the Whitestone Bridge to Flushing to counsel the players as they exited Shea. Unfortunately, in driving around the deeply cratered streets leading to the stadium, I got a flat tire. As luck would have it, there are about 300 auto repair shops in a three block radius of the stadium, and dozens of helpful mechanics descended upon me. After much competitive jockeying for the chance to help a stranger in need, one repair professional said he would fix the tire by way of rebuilding the engine. This unique approach will cost $3,000, about half of what the typical shop charges (at least that's what the mechanic told me).

At any rate, this means I will be on vacation until my car gets out of the shop, which could be a while because the mechanic said he has to order parts from Myanmar. So hang in there, Mets. I will return to the streets of Flushing -- at some point -- at which time together we will develop a plan for success. (Note: The life coaching session discount is good through tomorrow.)

In the meantime, there is one thing to look forward to -- the next episode of "Dick Sturgeon: Life Coach," which will be posted soon.

Hope everyone has a successful day!
